There is something about packages arriving in the mail, that get me all sorts of excited (I leave the boring things like bills for Steve). Lately, I have been really lucky to be on the receiving end of lots of special deliveries. This one though, was completely out of the blue and JUST. FOR. ME. Eek – so exciting!!!
The lovely Laura from Tigs & Boo had sent me this gorgeous Natural / Organic Care Package. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect; I am now well into my third trimester and am making a conscious effort to put my feet up and relax as and when I can.
The first item I noticed was the yummy -->‘vintage lolly jar candle’. --> I love candles, I currently have four sitting in my office (not all lit) but all providing ambiance and inspiration. I find something very soothing about candles and watching their flame gently flickering, the perfect way to relax and unwind (if you ask me). Plus, the scent -->‘Pomelo Grapefruit’ --> is subtle but scrummy and even unlit it gently scents the room. These candles are ‘individually hand poured and made in New Zealand’ and are ‘crafted from pure eco-soy wax which contains no toxins or paraffins and the cotton wicks are lead free’, bonus!
Next, I pulled out the -->‘Eco Tan – Invisible Tan’ -->. Now if you know me well enough I am one of those lucky people who get to be all kinds of pasty white all year round. The sun does nothing to my skin apart from burn it turning me lobster red and then the fun peeling part begins. So, Summer sees me slathering up the sunscreen and fake tan. Due to being pregnant I have yet to start my Summer tanning routine and so best you keep away form my legs (cause they have reached ‘glow in the dark status’) from a Winter of hibernation. Now tanning while pregnant is all about personal opinion, and up until this product landed in my lap I hadn’t gone down that route. This fake tan is suitable for ‘both your face and body, organic, vegan friendly and cruelty free’. SO there are some good things going on there if you ask me. I really like how lite it is, it’s non greasy plus invisible. I applied it in the morning right after my shower and was able to get dressed straight away (a MUST if your a Mum). I was a bit nervous at first because it is medium / olive tones (so I only tried it on my legs) but was pleasantly surprised and has left me with a nice natural colour. I can definitely see me using it all over and with five full body applications in every tube I can more than once.
-->Wendyl’s Rose Rub-On Deodorant --> is lovely to wear with its subtle scent. A little goes a long way (you only need a quarter of a teaspoon, per armpit). I actually gifted this on to my Mum who can only use natural deodorants and she loves it. They very next morning she rang to tell me 🙂
Finally, -->Yard Skincare Lip Bloss in Goa Sand’s -->. I have yet to try this product, I am saving it and have packed it in my bag to take to hospital when I have Lil Gooseberry as a treat. I love the smell though, and instantly feel like I am on the beach somewhere.
A gorgeous box filled with all sorts of loveliness which brightened my day and is certainly helping me to relax in these final few weeks. I have even added some items to my Christmas wish list for me, Sebastian and Lil Gooseberry – there is something for the whole family.
