Peppa Goes On Holiday

Hands up how many parents out there know the Peppa Pig theme song? Yip, that’s me (I’m waving madly). Sebastian has recently joined the multitudes of children world wide who are fans of ‘Peppa Pig’ and at present loves anything Peppa Pig related from the T.V show, to books, to toys… Mention Peppa Pig and from wherever he is in the room you will instantly hear a little oink, oink coming from him, complete with scrunched up face.  

So last week when the mail arrived and inside was ‘Peppa Goes on Holiday’, you can imagine I had one pretty excited boy on my hands. In fact, we were trying to head out the door at the time to a family dinner at the time and, instead we promptly had to read our new story, oinking (Sebastian that is, not me) our way through the book.

“Peppa and her family are going on holiday in Italy. There is so much to see and do that Pepper keeps leaving poor Teddy behind! Will he make it home in the end?”

Peppa Goes on Holiday is a bright, fun, colourful story.  With Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, George, the usual favourites like Suzy Sheep and Miss Rabbit as well as some new friends made along the way, Peppa’s holiday in Italy is full of fun and adventure and when they return home there is obligatory ‘muddy puddle’.

The story was a hit and on numerous occasions I hear Sebastian oinking only to find him sitting ‘reading’ it himself or bring it to one of us to read to him. We will definitely be adding to our Peppa Pig collection. Thanks Kiwi Mummy Blogs for getting our collection started!
