New Zealand author Joy Cowley has done it again with a couple of gorgeous Buzzy Bee and Friends board books (the perfect kind for little fingers). Sebastian and I were lucky enough to be sent two of these fabulous books by Kiwi Mummy Blogs to review.
- Buzzy Bee’s Birthday Party – Its Buzzy Bee’s birthday and he’s having a party! He needs balloons, party hats and jelly. But how many does he need? Help Buzzy Bee count.
- Buzzy Bee’s Food Shapes – Oscar the Ostrich doesn’t know his shapes. Buzzy Bee and Mary Lou try to help by giving Oscar a square sandwich for lunch. Can you help Oscar too?
As soon as I received the books, I knew both Sebastian and I would love them. The storylines were aimed perfectly at his age (one year plus), and we had lots of fun talking and counting our way through the books. The illustrations by Richard Hoit were bright, colourful, vivid and eye catching, just what I look for when selecting books for Sebastian as they really help hold his interest.
Fun stories and bright, colourful illustrations make these iconic Kiwi books a great must addition to any child’s collection, in fact the perfect first birthday / Christmas gift.
