We love messy play!
So when asked by Kiwi Mummy Blogs if we wanted to review and try out the NEW Educational Colours Art and Craft range saying ‘NO’ was not an option. I instantly knew Sebastian would love the opportunity to ‘review’ (if a 2 year old can do such a thing) this fabulous range. What I did not expect was the HUGE box of goodies that arrived on our door step. I was expecting a few paints and even then thought that was cool, what we got… AMAZING is all I can say. Eight bottles of paint from their glitter range, a painting smock, stubby brush, set of jungle stamps, set of texture wands and a set of pattern making stampy things (I threw out the top of the packet already).
We were set. Time to get creative, crafty and painty (if that’s even a word) all in one. So one afternoon post nap, we set ourselves up on the deck with an old sheet (in case my Picasso got creative off the page), some large sheets of calendar paper, a cheap muffin tin (for the paints, makes cleaning up a breeze), our new paint smock, paints and painting tools. As you can imagine Sebastian wanted to try them all, so what the heck, we did.
Oh the fun we had!!!! As the saying goes, a picture says 1000 words so here is quite possibly ten pictures and 10,000 words 😉
As a Mum what I LOVE about this range is –
- They are water based, washable and non toxic. Apparently they can literally be consumed although I for one am not going to test that theory nor am I going to get Sebastian too.
- Made in Australia and mixed by a qualified Chemist, they can be batch traced
- Safety is paramount
- Plastic glitter is used in their glitter paint, not foil. It is safe if consumed or if your Picasso decides to paint their face / eyes, again I for one will not test this theory but good to know
- Range is made with kids in mind washable, non toxic and acid free (with these icons clearly visible on the bottles)
The NEW ‘Educational Colours’ art and craft range also includes a range of fabulous products from stubby brushes, paint stampers, splash mats and smocks to modelling clay, fun dough and modelling accessories. I know of a certain someone – Mummy, of course (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) who will be adding some of these items to their Christmas wish list..
A market leading range known and loved for over 35 years in Australia and Internationally, they are now available on New Zealand shelves. Check out Paper Plus, Baby Factory, Mighty Ape and other leading retailers and don’t forget to add it to your little ones Christmas Wish List.
