Yay, Mother’s Day is just around the corner, like literally around the corner, only four more sleeps (if your counting)! And yes (!) I am counting. I am excited about the fact that this year I get to celebrate the day as a Mummy of two gorgeous babies.
Mother’s Day the day to treat your Mum; show her how much you care and how much she truly means to you. With two littlies in the house this year, getting out to the shops is a bit of a monumental task in-between feed time, sleep time, quiet time and play time. So I have gone for a bit more of a handmade, homemade touch – making and creating gifts for Steve’s Mum, my Mum and both my grandmothers.
I really like receiving gifts of the handmade, homemade kind and in a bid to get Sebastian into the spirit of giving I have started including and encouraging him. To date we have made cards, coloured pictures, created collages and even made and decorated cakes for family to celebrate those special occasions. This year he is a bit older still and so I have taken our gift creating to the next level.
Over the weekend Sebastian and I made some lovely little treats for mine and Steve’s Mum and what better way to finish off a handmade gift than with a cute little gift tag. Then I thought, why stop with the women in my life and why not share the love with you all this Mother’s Day and so here you are… 4 gift tags for you to attach to some handmade goodies this Mother’s Day.
I chose to keep the gift tags in black and white; attach some raffia and perfection! For me, they were a simple yet pretty finishing touch to my gifts, yet at the same time didn’t detract from them. What I like about these tags is print them onto coloured card and /or attach some pretty ribbon to match your gift and you a completely unique look.
