How can I be 24 weeks already? I mean seriously! It feel like just yesterday I was staring at the little stick with those two lines, jumping up and down (on the inside) as my Mum was staying and I wanted to tell Steve first. And now here we are well into the second half. Crazy to think only 17 weeks (TOPS) till we get to meet this little one and our lives are changed for the second time. I am secretly (not so secretly) wishing this little one is early or at least on time. I would really like to meet them before Christmas although I know they will have make their own mind up about these things..
How far along: Actually when this gets published I will officially be 25 weeks but 24 weeks 3 days in the photo above
Baby is the size of: A Grapefruit (?) I have never seen a grapefruit that long, heheh.. Approx. 30.5 cm from head to heel and weighs approx. 567 grams
Feeling: Really, really great! I love being pregnant (ok, not the vomiting part in the beginning) but I truly do love being pregnant. I feel beautiful; I feel complete; and aside from feeling a little bit self conscious sometimes, I feel sexy. My body is doing this AMAZING thing, creating life and I am super proud of it for that. So I am embracing it!
Symptoms: Heartburn and I still have a love hate relationship. It loves me and well I hate it. But I accept it is par for the course this time round, only 18 more weeks tops!!! Right?
Enjoying: Being pregnant, as I said before I love it. I am making the most of every minutes because the very real truth is this will probably be the last time I am pregnant. So I don’t want to wish it away for anything. I love how much closer Steve and I have become as well. Creating life is special time for a couple. I am also enjoying these special moments just me and my littlest boy. We are making the most of our days together just the two of use. He is at a really lovely stage of wanting cuddles and snuggles and even though ‘lil gooseberry’ gets in the way at times I don’t want to change a thing.
Craving: Here’s a new one for you banana on toast. Those of you who know me (and I guess everyone else now for that matter) will know I don’t eat banana’s and on the very odd occasion when I do they have to be the right banana. Well the last few weeks for lunch I have been enjoying even wanting banana on toast. That and chocolate although not on toast with banana..
Missing: The ability to bend over easily. This here lil bump is getting in the way, especially when wearing jeans and trying to paint your toe nails. I am looking forward to Spring / Summer and wearing dresses.
Looking forward to: The Spring / Summer weather which is peaking it’s head through every now and then. Not so much the heat although baby will be here before the heart of Summer so I sure I will cope, if not you will find me beaching out in the paddling pool.
