While I don’t wear prescription glasses myself, my Dad has worn glasses for 50 years, and recently discovered the benefits of fashionable sunglasses! So he seemed like the perfect candidate to try out Optically.co.nz and their online services.
The process was simple, just requiring a recent prescription from his regular optometrist and choosing a suitable style.
The service was excellent, with prompt communication and VERY fast delivery. His new glasses were well packed for posting in a smart protective hard case and several layers of bubble wrap.
Dad loved the easy to use website, although he found the mind-boggling range of top brand frame styles, colours and lens options a bit daunting at first! There are separate men’s, women’s, designer glasses and prescription sunglasses plus a titanium range. They also offer a free home trial of four different frame styles, and a simple to use, cost-effective re-glazing service for your favourite eyeglasses or sunglasses.
Dad especially liked the ‘Try On’ feature, which allows you to upload a close up photo to their website and click on any frame to see how you would look in that style and colour. This is a great feature, because you know how hard it is to choose new frames in a traditional High Street or Mall store, when you need your existing glasses to see properly in the first place, or take along a trusted family member or friend who will give you an honest opinion of whether the size, style and colour really do suit you!
Their website is easy to navigate with a comprehensive FAQ section and a link to their ‘THE INSIGHT BLOG’, which has a number of interesting and informative articles.
All in all a great experience, and Dad would be happy to recommend optically.co.nz to anyone.

That’s so cool. I luv that u can see yourself in them online by uploading your pic and that u can try them at home. Often you can narrow down to the last 2 or 3 then it gets tricky and you want your family/friends opinion. Will definitely check out optically.co.nz.
