Eeep, another couple of months have passed us by. Can’t believe I am writing your fourteen month update, where did the time go? I remember writing your eleven month one, yesterday… Ok, maybe it just feels that way, cause a lot has happened in the last few months.
Firstly, we celebrated your first birthday with family and friends. It was such a special day for Mummy and Daddy, celebrating the day you arrived into our lives, you really do mean the world to us both. You had a rubber ducky themed party, so lots of blue and yellow decorations, party food and fun. We turned our dining room into a studio the following day and did our own cake smash for you too. It was a full on weekend but very awesome to celebrate a very special little man – yes, YOU!
You started walking the Monday before your first birthday and you haven’t looked back. You just go, go, go. You love being on the move and love life, we have so much fun every day. It is so nice seeing you experience everything from a different ‘view’ now you can walk. Now it is coming into Summer lots of time is spent either on the deck in the sandpit or paddling pool; down in the backyard or at the park. You love just running toddling around. Although its not without incident and you have a tumble or two or six…
A few weeks ago we got a puppy, Schumi. The two of you are like best friends following each other around and playing together in the yard – even sharing toys! The last couple of days you have even tried to pick him up and give him a cuddle (a bit unsuccessfully, I might add). You have a lovely nature and way with animals, and practise being ‘gentle’ everyday with both Storm and Schumi.
We go to Mainly Music every Thursday – you have so much fun singing and dancing along to the songs, especially enjoying the musical instruments and the free play with the other children after the session. It is wonderful to watch you interacting, figuring out and developing your social skills with others.
Happy fourteen months little man – I look forward to sharing this next month with you!
Love you forever, Mummy xx
