Well, my little munchkin man.. it feels like forever and a day since I wrote my last little post like this. The last one was when you were eighteen months old. You have grown so much since then, I can not believe you will be two in a few months. We have had a busy couple of months and have shared some very exciting news with everyone in that time too – you are going to be a BIG brother by the end of they year. Hence the lack of posting, Mummy has been feeling a bit under the weather and has wanted to spend her time focusing on you when she was feeling good 🙂
Over the last few months there have been so many changes. No BIG crawling to walking changes but the smaller ones. Like language. Every single day you come out with or pick up another word or your interpretation of a word. We have had lots of fun deciphering what you are trying ever so hard to tell us. Your latest word and a favourite is ‘Boom’, when you say it you mean…. Gumboots! Yip, not one we guessed first off but too cute now we know.
You are a fantastic little helper and always love to be involved. You have even started helping me in the kitchen, standing on the little stool doing the most important jobs like tipping the ingredients in the bowl, eating the cheese (you love cheese), mixing and of course the best part – licking the spoon. We are making the most of this and encourage you every chance we get (at the moment you still it is fun).
Recently you have stared to notice babies more, and are really taken by them. It is lovely to watch you be so kind, caring and gentle with them. It really makes my heart melt. This combined with you love of helping are going to make you the BESTEST big brother.
We have spend lots of our days rugging up warm and playing out in the back garden. You love your swing and recently fell asleep in there one morning, I guess if someone had been pushing me gently back and forwards for half an hour I would have done the same thing. We also go on regular adventures to the local playground, library and trips up the road to see the diggers and jump in the long grass.
At the moment, anything Thomas the Tank Engine and Peppa Pig are your favourite and you are either going around the house saying ‘toot, toot’ or ‘oink, oink’. It is rather cute.
You and I are heading off to Adelaide with Nanny and Poppa in a few weeks time. Daddy will be staying home to look after the pets, work and attend a Motorsport Photography event on behalf of Classic Car Magazine. I am really excited, it will be your first time in a plane. We bought you some headphones, so you can watch the movies on the plane and you love them. So much so we had to hide them until we go.
Thank you for making me your Mumma little man, it is my greatest gift ever!
Until next month, Love you Mummy xx
