SoSimple Skincare Review

Towards the end of last year I had the pleasure of trying out some of the fabulous products from SoSimple Skincare. For those of you who don’t know, SoSimple Natural Skincare are a small batch skin care company based right here in little Ole NZ; they believe good skin care should start with the basics. And so have based their products on ‘amazing old beauty secrets from around the world’.  SoSimple Skincare believe that ‘simplicity improves quality’. They have designed products that are simple, safe, handcrafted with quality ingredients, free from toxic ingredients and animal testing.

I was lucky enough to be sent their ‘Rise and Shine’ Milky Cleansing Grains; ‘From Dusk till Dawn’ Resurfacing Fruit Elixir and ‘Valentine’s Day’ Roses and Chocolate Antioxidant Face Mask to try. Let me start by saying there is definitely a feel of luxury about these products from their cute glass bottle packaging to the products themselves, you really feel like you are treating yourself.  

The ‘Rise and Shine’ Milky Cleansing Grains are something quite different. A blend of clay, whitening brown rice, soothing almond meal and nourishing whole milk powder; they naturally cleanse, soothe and soften your skin. I really liked how they not only cleaned my skin but left it feeling awake, alive and refreshed, so much so I use them at night too. They did take a day or two to get use to, the whole figuring out how much I really needed and how much water to add etc, but once I had that sorted.. it really was a great way to start my day and the scent of lemongrass really got all the senses going.

Now adding the ‘From Dusk till Dawn’ Resurfacing Fruit Elixir to my nightly routine, was something a bit new and different which I was quite excited to try. I was intrigued by how it exfoliates my skin, evens the tone and leaves it feeling smooth & soft – all while I sleep. I have found my skin to be smoother and combined with the Milky Cleansing Grains above made for a great combination.

To be honest with you I haven’t treated my skin to a mask in sooooo long. So, I was  more than a little bit excited to try the ‘Valentine’s Day’ Roses and Chocolate Antioxidant Face Mask. And you know what, it felt amazing! So amazing in fact that I got my Mum to try it that same night and she said the very same thing. I felt pampered and my skin felt smoother, tighter and definitely refreshed. I like the fact you make it up as you need use it and it smells so good for you. It did kind of feel like I was putting chocolate pudding on my face though, that was until it went all tight 😉

SoSimple Skincare not only stocks cleansers & exfoliators, masks, mists & toners and oils & serums for your face; they also now stock body scrubs, soaps and even natural deodorants. Personally I cant wait to try the Raspberry, Milk and Honey Spa Bar Soap , it sounds just divine. Just a note on price too, all products are very reasonably priced considering they are all handmade and packaged on the day you order, so you really are only receiving only the best for your skin!
