Now before I start sharing my Christmas baking, I am saving that for December (I promise) I thought I would share with you my quick easy go to Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. This is my favourite recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies and a real winner in our household, its fast and super easy, so it is a great one for busy mums, the perfect filler for lunch boxes – cause hey, even though its coming up to Christmas, lunches still need to be made and why not add a yummy treat in there, and delicious with a coffee.
I will quite happily admit I always double this recipe, so what normally makes 30 in our house end up as 60. I’m not complaining in any way shape or form it means more to go with that morning coffee, only thing is stopping at one.
You can make these with white, milk, dark chocolate drops; even caramel ones if you can get them or as I like to do a mixture of all of them – yum!
I don’t remember eating one of these yesterday????
My fav is the the cowboy ones with the rolled oats in them – then you can pretend they are healthy and eat more than one ha ha
No, I don’t think you would have 🙂
Love the thought plan though… rolled oats = healthy xx
Yum! They look so good. I pinned it straight to my baking board 🙂 xx
Thanks, they are pretty yum xx
Hi Lydia, my family enjoy chocolate chip cookies, but shop bought ones leave a lot to be desired. This recipe looks quick and easy…Will be giving it a go for sure!
Hi Deb, they are a nice easy one and taste great too – enjoy! xx
Mmmmm, these look yummy. I’ve just discovered caramel choc chips – I don’t know where they have been all my life! I love that you make them a bit smaller, so one will never be enough!
They sure are and the caramel drops make them extra yummy! xx
Deliciousness!!!
Agreed xx
Yummy! There’s something so great about a simple chocolate chip cookie and these look delicious
Thanks Alyce, they really are xx
There is nothing quite like a great choc chip cookie!
Agreed Malinda xx
Why not stick some m&m’s in there too! I love cookies and chocolate anything. I completely agree with doubling the mixture so there’s more to enjoy for longer!
Have a beautiful weekend Lydia! x
Yes Danielle – m&m’s such a great idea. Enjoy your weekend xx
These look delicious. And the limited number of ingredients sounds awesome!
A few questions:
1. Does the butter need to be at room temperature? Or is it better that way?
2. Any ideas on how many grams convert to cups or teaspoons? I’m in the US and, of course, we’ve opted for a measuring system that no one else in the world uses. Makes a lot of sense, I know… I can always look it up on the Internet. I’m sure I’ll find it if you don’t know off the top of your head. 🙂
3. My favorite cookie recipe: http://www.fashionablyemployed.com/2013/07/pumpkin-chocolate-chip-cookies-sharing.html
thanks for sharing!
Hi Jen,
Thanks for stopping by!
I fnd room temperature butter works best and is easier to work with as well. I would have to look up conversions for cups / teaspoons to grams as I don’t know off the top of my head – sorry to be pain.
Cant wait to try out your recipe soon
Lydia xx
